Creating a Direct Storage

There are two ways to open the "Create Direct Storage Wizard" in flexVDI Dashboard.

• Select "Direct Storage" in the "Storage" section in the left area of the window, then right-click on Direct Storage. A new menu will be displayed where you can select the "New Direct Storage" option and create a new Direct Storage.

• Click on the following button in the tool bar of flexVDI Dashboard main window,
  
  

You will be presented with the following window:

You must provide a name for the new Direct Storage, and then press "Next".

In the next window you must select the Hosts that will have access to the new Direct Storage. Remember the selected Hosts must have physical access to the storage defined as Direct Storage. Press "Finish".

The creation of the new Direct Storage has finished.

Keep in mind that only those disks visible by all the Hosts in a Pool are available to the Guests.

You can now see your new storage in the left part of the window:

If you click on it, the right part of the window will show the following information regarding the new Direct Storage.
