Rebalancing Resources

From flexVDI Dashboard you can ask flexVDI Manager to rebalance the Pool's resources. Then flexVDI Manager will calculate which Guests should be started, and which not, based on the system configuration:

  • priority assigned to Pools
  • resources avaliable in currently running Hosts.

To request this operation, go to the "Guest/host/Pool" section in the left part of the main window, right-click on any Pool and click on "Rebalance resources".

 

If there are not enough resources to run all the Guests in a desired state of "runnning", due to Host shutdown, failure, maintenance, or a wrong configuration) currently running Guests can be migrated or shutdown in order to make room for higher priority Guests.

This operation affects all the Pools.
